This course will take you through a full review of how to integrate our asset in the plate, making a layout in 3D with the EXIF info of the photo, setup the displacement base on the Zbrush maps, implement our different maps like color, specularity and bump, create a turntable and create a lightrig with direct lighting and HDRI.
Finally, we will create a quick lighting slap comp in Nuke to integrate Boelthor with some light warp, comp the shadow and integrate all elements created during the 5 classes.
Charles Chorein is a CG Supervisor with 10 years of experience. He has been working in London since 2009 and has achieved various movies such as The Hobbit, Prometheus ,The Hunger Games 2, Superman: man of steel, Harry Potter, Pirate of the Caribbean, Despicable Me, Terminator Gensys and recently The Jungle Book from Disney. He is currently involved in a new Netflix TV series.
course syllabus
CLASS 1
We will start to create our layout and extract EXIF information from the image and create the first part of the layout in Maya.
CLASS 2
We will finish our layout setup with the diffuse and reflection sphere and start to light our scene with the HDRI
CLASS 3
We will analyze our image and make sure we start our lighting scene on a strong base and rebalance our lighting. We will see how to adjust the displacement map and start the lookDev with the body texture
CLASS 4
We will finish all the lookDev for the different object for our asset.
CLASS 5
On this last last we will covert the render passes, AOV’s and create a lighting slap comp to integrate our asset in the plate
