We pick up with Dave and Red racing through the woods, chased by the Great Wolf. They head for Basaan’s house to find out if she knows anything about the witch’s book with the missing pages, hoping the information will help them defeat the beast. When they arrive, Basaan seems unconcerned about the wolf. Red and Dave show her the book, but Basaan dismisses their pleas for help. Fortunately, Dave sees an open box on Basaan’s table and notices the box contains the missing pages. Red is confused by the development, and she grows more confused when she reads the words on the missing pages.
